Join REIS on Tuesday, September 8th to hear the latest findings and research regarding water quality and watershed issues in Southwest Florida. Our speaker will be Dr. Rachel Rotz of the FGCU Water School.

Rachel R. Rotz, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator in the Department of Marine & Earth Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University’s Water School. A hydrogeologist, her research focuses on groundwater systems, hydrologic modeling, remote sensing, GIS applications, and water resource management. Dr. Rotz leads collaborative research on critical water quality and watershed issues affecting Southwest Florida and has directed major federally and state-funded projects, including partnerships with NASA and regional environmental agencies. She is passionate about mentoring students and advancing science-based solutions to protect Florida’s water resources.
